Nickel Knock

Nickel Knock Privacy Policy

Last updated: July 27, 2026

Nickel Knock is a casual card game from Kat 'n Marlin Enterprises LLC, doing business as We-Be Friends. This policy explains the information used by the iOS app, its We-Be account and multiplayer features, and its advertising providers.

Summary

You may play Nickel Knock against the computer without creating an account. We-Be sign-in is used for online multiplayer, friends, invitations, and synchronized game rooms.

The free app displays third-party advertisements through Google AdMob. Nickel Knock requests non-personalized ads and does not request Apple's App Tracking Transparency permission or access the IDFA for cross-app tracking.

Account Information

If you create or use a We-Be account, we collect and store your name or display name, email address, username, account identifier, authentication status, and related account information. Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore provide account and cloud-data services.

We use this information to authenticate you, maintain your account, find invited friends, protect the service, and provide multiplayer features. We do not give your name or email address to advertisers for advertising or tracking.

Gameplay and Multiplayer Information

Multiplayer play may store player names and identifiers, room codes, invitations, game state, turns, cards, scores, virtual nickel totals, game results, timestamps, and connection status. This information is used to synchronize the table and make the game work for its participants.

Virtual nickels are gameplay lives only. They are not wagers, cannot be purchased in this version, and cannot be exchanged for money or anything of value.

Advertising and Automatic Data

Google Mobile Ads may automatically process an IP address used to estimate coarse location, device or app-scoped identifiers, information about ads shown, app launches and ad interactions, performance data, crash data, and other diagnostic information. Google uses this information to deliver and measure ads, limit how often an ad is shown, detect fraud, analyze performance, and maintain its services.

Although Nickel Knock requests non-personalized ads, Google explains that non-personalized ads may still use limited identifiers for frequency capping and aggregated reporting. Nickel Knock does not sell your personal information.

How Information Is Shared

Information is shared only as needed with service providers that operate the app, including Google Firebase for authentication and multiplayer data and Google AdMob for advertising, consent, measurement, fraud prevention, and diagnostics. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy obligations.

We may also disclose information when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the app, our rights, or the public.

Data Retention and Security

Account and multiplayer information is kept for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes, comply with law, and support legitimate business records. Temporary game rooms and operational logs may be removed when they are no longer needed.

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect information we control. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.

Your Choices and Deletion Requests

You can play solo without a We-Be account. You may request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your Nickel Knock or We-Be account by emailing us. Some information may be retained when required for security, legal compliance, or legitimate recordkeeping.
